Strine Internal Drainage Board (SIDB)

The SIDB ensure effective water management by overseeing drainage and maintaining watercourses to safeguard food production and public interest in the drainage board area.

SIDB Members

The SIDB has a managing board of eight members elected every three years and a co-opted member from Kynnersley Parish Council. As Telford & Wrekin Council is now the local lead in flood risk management a member of their Engineering team attends board meetings. For the day to day administration work the board employs a part time Clerk

The committee of the board is currently made up of the following elected members:

  • Mr Richard Hockenhull
  • Mrs Isobel Moseley
  • Mr Andrew Crow.
  • Mr Bruce Udale

Ms Lucinda Lycett attends as representative of the Lead Local Flood Authority for Telford & Wrekin Council.

Policies and Procedures

Public Notices

The SIDB is required to publish drainage rates and under the Local Audit and Acountability Act 2014 we are also required to publish a notice of public rights and publication of unaudited annual governence and accountability return.

The SIDB hold a minimum of four meetings per year (around January, April, June, September) at Kynnersley Village Hall. The board meetings are advertised on Kynnersley Parish notice board and are open to members of the public.
